Horizontal Blinds – Wood & Faux

Faux Wood Blinds

Our most popular product! As an alternative to wood blinds, faux (pronounced “foe”) wood blinds are extremely affordable and an excellent choice for both traditional and contemporary window styles. Faux wood blinds are made of a durable vinyl material, and are the perfect choice for windows where heat and moisture extremes would damage real wood products. For the look of real wood, we have embossed finishes in solid colors that are designed to have the look and feel of real wood. We also wood grain finishes that resemble the look of richly stained wood. If you need a low cost window treatment solution, there is no better choice than a 2″ faux wood blind. Here are just some of the amazing colors and finishes in our line of imitation wood blinds.

Genuine Wood Blinds

We only sell wood window blinds that are manufactured with the highest quality Grade A Basswood. Real wood blinds are lighter in weight which makes them an obvious choice for larger windows. The gloss or stained surfaces of real wood blinds are easily cleaned using a standard feather duster. Wood blinds in stained finishes add warmth and tranquility to any any room. When it comes to household furnishings, nothing compares to genuine wood. We have several different whites and over 30 different stains…here are a few of our most popular colors.

Slat Sizes

Slats are the horizontal boards that make the up main part of the blind.  Each slat is suspended along a series of strings.  There are three common slat sizes available in horizontal blinds.

  • 1″ – available in wood or metal
  • 2″ – available in wood or vinyl
  • 2.5″ – available in wood or vinyl

2.5″ blinds are also known as “shutter blinds.”  They larger slat widths allow for the use of fewer slats overall.  This means the distance between each slat is increased, so there are less obstructions in the view.  Shutter blinds are common choices for larger windows or windows with a great view.
