Window shades Friendswood Texas

The Challenge:

We recently received a call from a Friendswood business owner who was preparing for her grand opening.  She found a great location in a recently built shopping center on South Friendswood Drive.  She had everything in place for the big day – the products, the furniture, a flat panel TV in the waiting area.  There was just one big problem.  Her shop has three large, west-facing windows.  The late afternoon heat and solar glare coming through these windows was almost unbearable.  Even before that, with the sun high overhead, the glare from the cars parked in front of the shop was blinding.  She needed something that would resist the Sun's heat and greatly reduce the amount of light.  She also wanted a window treatment that would allow her and her customer's to have visibility to the outside.  Since she was on a tight budget, she was hoping we could recommend something that would be very affordable.  We new just what she needed.

The Solution:

Product: Roll-a-way shades made with Phifer solar screens

Fabric:  Phifer Suntex 90

Color: Beige

Hardware: Continuous cord loop control and a fabric covered decorative facia

We chose roll-a-way shades because of their durability and ease of use.   Phifer Suntex 90 was our screen choice because it blocks 90% of the Sun's light and heat, and because these windows were very large and received intense afternoon sunlight.  Suntex 90 is also a very economical choice due to its low cost compared with other solar fabrics.  The customer chose beige to compliment the darker browns in the furniture, cabinets and floor.

She was very pleased with the look and function of these shades.  She can retract them in the morning and lower them in the afternoon to achieve the perfect amount of sunlight.  Now she is ready for her Grand Opening.
