The challenge:
Texas Window Solutions was recently contacted by the Galveston Insurance Associates about providing window treatments for their new office in Friendswood. They were looking for a couple of solutions. First, they wanted window treatments that matched the elegance and decor of the new office, yet were easy on the budget. Moving a business can be expensive so saving money where ever possible is a must. Our solutions for them was to go with a 2″ faux wood horizontal blind in a Mahogany color. The rich, wood-like appearance and deep color of our blinds is a perfect accent to the office’s overall feeling. For an added detail, we brought the blinds forward and created a small “return” on the valance which gives the blinds a 3 dimensional appearance much like having a wooden cornice.
The second request we were given had to do with the main entrance door which has a large glass window. This door gets sunlight in the afternoon which causes the lobby area to warm up and become uncomfortable. They wanted a solution that would reduce the sunlight and heat and one that would also compliment the warm wood tones of the door and surrounding woodwork. For the door, we installed a Solar Guard film called “Quantum/Silver 15″. This film has a warm bronze color and offers good visibility from the inside. The lobby now has just the right amount of sunlight. The Galveston Insurance Associates are very pleased with our work and they are looking forward to a grand opening in the coming days.
