Solar window film Galveston Texas

The challenge:

Texas Window Solutions was recently contacted by a property management firm about installing solar film on an outside elevator.  The owner was hoping to address a couple of important issues with the elevator.  First and foremost, was the heat that builds up in the elevator enclosure which has full exposure to the sun from morning until noon.  The elevator cab does not have air conditioning, and even though its rider are only in it for a minute or two, by afternoon the heat is almost unbearable.  To bring the temperature down would require a high quality solar film.  The second challenge given to us was to greatly enhance the appearance of the elevator.  The owner wanted to make it stand out and be seen since it is one of the attractions of this business park.  We new just what to do.

Our solution:

For this elevator we installed a quality Solar Gard solar film.  To reduce the heat and solar glare inside the elevator we elected to use a film called Silver 20.  Silver 20 has a higher reflective quality that makes it a perfect choice for reducing the heat intake of the elevator.  The temperature inside the elevator dropped around 20 degrees after the film was fully installed. In addition to the heat reducing properties of the Silver 20 film, the higher reflectivity also cause the elevator to have an amazing mirror-like finish.  From a distance, the silver color begins to show also.  The look is quite dramatic and was precisely what the owner was looking for…another satisfied customer!
